Hilton Honors Aspire Review
Feb 20, 2022 By Triston Martin

This American Express Hilton Aspire Card is the top choice for those who want to accrue Hilton Honors points. This American Express Hilton Aspire Card is a leader in the industry by giving top-quality hotel status simply by holding the card. It also comes with a substantial welcome bonus which is 150,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after you purchase $4,000 using the card in the initial three months of membership. It also gives you a complimentary weekend getaway with every card anniversary, as well as another bonus when you spend $60,000 in the calendar year.

The cost is $450 per year and cannot be waived until the beginning of the year. On paper, the cost is easily covered by the $250 incidental airline credit and the $250 in resort credits. However, the reality isn't as simple as that. The incidental credit of $250 for airlines is only available to one airline, which has to be selected beforehand and can only be used for limited purchases, such as the cost of baggage and seat selection. This credit of $250 needs to be used in a particular list of hotels that make up just a portion of Hilton's portfolio. The card allows you to share profits with cardholders authorized to use the card for free. The authorized users could be younger than 13, making this an ideal card for family use. It is important to note that authorized users are not eligible for Diamond status or annual credit.

Welcome Offer

Within three months of opening your card, spend $4,000 on eligible transactions to get 150,000 Hilton Honors bonus points. Hilton Honors points have a lesser value per point; thus, the welcome offer is priced at $720 based on our estimate of the Honors point. If you're looking for an award-winning stay at the Hilton, this is a good high-end travel card to have. Only individuals who now have or previously had the card may take advantage of this offer. To qualify for an American Express card, you must have previously opened and canceled several American Express credit cards.

Earning Points and Rewards

Every dollar spent at a qualifying Hilton Hotel or Resort will earn you 14 points. As a Hilton Honors Diamond Status Member, the points you earn using this card are counted toward that status. You get 20 points for every dollar spent on Hilton transactions for Diamond members (equal to 10 points per dollar spent at Home2 and Tru shops). Participating in the Honors Program and earning base points are not earned on your credit card. You become a Diamond member when you book a hotel stay with the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire card and rack up 51,000 points. Diamond Hilton Honors members may get 30k points, while those who pay with an American Express card earn 21,000 points.

Weekend-Night Rewards Are Subject to Limitations

It is worth noting that the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card comes with a single annual nightly reward as reward for cardholders. If you make at least $60,000 in purchases during the calendar year, you'll be eligible for an additional every night from Hilton. It's worth noting that Hilton prohibits certain hotels from accepting these reward points.

Who Is This Card Good for?

Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card is the best choice for travelers who make regular bookings with Hilton hotels. The hotel nights that you can receive are a great bonus, but the primary benefits of this card are the luxurious experience you enjoy at Hilton. Because of the complimentary Hilton Honors Diamond status, you can enjoy the upgrade to your room for free, as well as the privilege of accessing executive lounges. Travel credits aren't a problem either. If you don't use Hilton frequently, however, you may be unable to earn enough points from the card enough to justify the $450 annual cost. While it has plenty of value, not every person will benefit from all it has to offer. The cost of paying $900 annually for travel expenses of $3700 in the first year was a simple decision for us. It's actually an extremely conservative figure in the end.
